One game in town?
In the post from NEW called Bad Boys of Physics there is one paragraph (by Susskind)
A large fraction of the physics community has abandoned trying to explain our world as unique, as mathematically the only possible world. Right now the multiverse is the only game in town. Not everybody is working on it, but there is no coherent, sharp argument against it.
which contains the famous “only game in town” string of words (I shall not bother to link to the source of these wordings, look for yourself for “Canada Bill Jones wiki”).
Well, poor heps! I have to say that in mathematics there is (or was) never only one game in town. If you want many games in the city, you may also consider biology, neuroscience or computer science.
